How to Find Your RFC Using Your CURP
If you already have a CURP and want to find the RFC associated with it, use SAT's official online lookup. This finds an existing RFC — it does not register a new one.
Before you go
Steps
- Open SAT's official Consulta tu clave de RFC mediante CURP page.
- Select Ejecutar en línea.
- Enter your CURP and at least three of the additional data points SAT requests.
- Complete the CAPTCHA and select Enviar.
- If SAT finds an RFC associated with your CURP, the system displays it.
If SAT doesn't find it
- Check the information you entered — one or more details may not match SAT's records.
- If you cannot complete the lookup because you do not know enough of the requested information, SAT advises scheduling an Orientación Fiscal appointment.
- If there is genuinely no RFC associated with your CURP, see the registration article below.
Need your Constancia de Situación Fiscal?
Seeing your RFC number is not the same as having a Constancia de Situación Fiscal. That is a separate SAT document.
Good to know
This lookup only returns an RFC already registered with SAT. It does not register you, change your tax regime, or issue a Constancia de Situación Fiscal.
Tulum Sorted Tip
Try the online lookup first before making a trip to a SAT office — if your information matches, you can get your RFC number immediately without an appointment or visit.
